The Department of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences (EPSS) invites all of our graduating students and award recipients, along with their families and friends, to join the EPSS faculty at a special 2018 Commencement Celebration lunch and awards ceremony on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 12:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event will take place on the Young Hall Patio (located between the Geology Building and Young Hall).
A special Commencement address will be delivered by Charles Elachi, a former director of JPL.
The Celebration will feature a luncheon buffet, introduction of graduate degree and baccalaureate degree candidates, a valedictory speech, presentation of Departmental scholarships and awards, and a group photo (graduates, please remember to bring your cap and gown from the College of Letters & Science Commencement event on Friday, June 16, or the Graduate Division Doctoral Hooding ceremony on Thursday, June 15, for the photo). There will be a charge of $25 per person, except for graduating students and award recipients, who will receive a complimentary ticket to attend free of charge.
