EPSS Professor Margaret Kivelson awarded 2019 Cassini Medal

Posted on Oct. 28, 2018

EPSS Professor Margaret G. Kivelson has been awarded the 2019 Jean Dominique Cassini Medal of the European Geosciences Union (EGU). The EGU website describes the award as follows: "The Jean Dominique Cassini Medal & Honorary Membership of the EGU form one of the three equally ranked most prestigious awards made by the Union. They are bestowed to scientists who have achieved exceptional international standing in planetary and space sciences, defined in their widest senses, for their merit and their scientific achievements."

We would like to establish a graduate student fellowship in Professor Kivelson's honor.  You can partner with us in establishing this fellowship by making a tax-deductible donation at this link.  All donations will be matched one-to-one with funds available to the Dean of Physical Sciences.  We recently celebrated Professor Kivelson's numerous achievements at an event on campus (a videorecording is available) and she was recently profiled in the New York Times.

Thank you for your support!
