UCLA will host Observe the Moon Night on Thursday, October 10, 2024. This event is part NASA's annual International Observe the Moon Night, which brings together people from hundreds of countries around the world to observe the moon each fall https://moon.nasa.gov/observe-the-moon-night/about/overview/ . The event will be held on the roof of the UCLA Math Sciences Building from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (Link to Flyer) . It will feature telescope viewing of the moon, updates on lunar missions and lunar science, as well as lunar meteorites. Students, staff, families and guests are welcome. Sponsored by the UCLA Department of Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences and NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Project.
