ESS students win dean's prize honoring undergrad researchers
ESS majors Samantha Gebauer and Kevin Coffey earned recognition for their scientific achievements at Science Poster Day on May 15. Gebauer worked on "Eruption and Crystallization Ages for the Breccia Museo Supereruption Deposit" and Coffey's presentation was entitled "Determining the Source of Volcanic Ash in Maya Ceramics using Zircon Crystallization Ages." Both students were nominated by faculty and also provided personal statements about their research.
