Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing and the 100th anniversary of UCLA!  Join us for a screening of the 2019 documentary film Apollo 11 followed by a Q&A with planetary science and space exploration experts.  

Rotten Tomatoes gives the film a 98% Tomatometer Rating and a 90% Audience Score, with the following summary: "Edifying and inspiring in equal measure, Apollo 11 uses artfully repurposed archival footage to send audiences soaring back to a pivotal time in American history."

Panelists include:

  • William F. Ballhaus Jr., former Director of the NASA Ames Research Center and former President and CEO of The Aerospace Corporation.
  • Professor Edward D. Young, a geochemist and cosmochemist in the Department of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences at UCLA.
